Finally, I have got it. the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. So far, it is a pretty good game, but honestly I thought it would be better. When I looked on the cover it says "THE BIGGEST ADVENTURE OF ALL TIME". I'm like, all right! But when I started to play, I'm having trouble. I watched the ending on YouTube and it was epic. Link, the guy who saves Zelda, has to fight Gannon, the evil-ugly-dwarf-king-villian, for at least 3 to 5 times. So yeah ... it's gonna be hard!
I give this game 4 paws

Running for a Playground!
My school is doing a fun run. You get pledges from people you know to sponsor you. You have to run, skip, gallop, or jump around the track up to 35 times. The prizes are not based on how many laps you run, but on how many sponsors you get. There are many levels of prizes. We are this as a fundraiser to make money so we can have a better playground.
Come Play With Me!
All right dudes, welcome back!!
That was a very long spring break. Now, what I am talking about today is a free Minecraft server. If you are play Minecraft, log in the game, go to multi-player, add server, and then type in redrex08 and then go to the IP address and type in 69.142.162.11:12785 and say that I am a BFF of sugercube1 (that's me! :-). This way you can play with everybody.
Sorry guys, this is a short blog today!
Bye!

Meet Rob Buyea!
Welcome to our first author interview!
Meet Rob Buyea, author of Because of Mr. Terupt.
Rob is an elementary school teacher who is a writer at heart. He was inspired to write after seeing the wonderful work his students were doing. At first, he wrote short stories, but one day he had an idea that really excited him. He joined a writer's group, and eventually shared his work with the world.
These questions were asked by our fourth grades. Enjoy!
Other than Terupt being a dollar word,
is the name symbolic in any way?
No. I sat down
with some letters that I knew would total $1.00, scrambled them around, and
came up with Terupt. I knew when I started the story that the
teacher's name needed to be a dollar
word, and that Luke would reveal it at the very end.
Who would you like to play Mr. Terupt when the movie comes out? What about the other characters?
Who would you like to play Mr. Terupt when the movie comes out? What about the other characters?
Is there going to be a sequel? If so, when does it come out?
YES! Mr. Terupt Falls Again will be released on October 9th. You
can go to my website and pre-order it now.
How come Mr. Terupt didn't have any family in the story? Do we get to find out what happened to him before he became a teacher? What's his backstory?
The answers to this are in the next
book. I'm glad you're asking.
Do you have other books you are working on, and, if so, are they for children or adults?
Yes, I do have others. I'm
working on another middle grade novel right now.
How did you come up with the idea of Mr. Terupt, and why did you write it from the perspective of the students? Why not from Mr. Terupt's point of view?
The kids came to me as voices.
They were in my head and started telling me the story and giving me
ideas. I was able to use a lot of real-life experiences from my classroom
days as an elementary school teacher to jumpstart ideas. I had loads
of fun changing the real events and making them better for the
story. I was excited to be each of the kids and tell their stories.
Are you still teaching or is writing now your full-time job?
I'm still teaching, but this year i'll be teaching less as I'm trying to
do more with my writing and school visits.
Happy Reading!

Hope everyone is having a restful and relaxing spring break. Keep blogging throughout the week so we'll have something to post when you get back.
Oh, and by the way, look what I ran across this morning...
Exciting!!!
The sequel to Because of Mr. Terupt will be out October the 9th.
What do you think about having a little launch party on the blogs next year? :-)
Keep writing, and I'll see you next week!

The Big Game!
The 3-seed South Carolina Gamecocks where beating the 16th rank Kentucky Wildcats. The score was 3-0 in the 5th inning. In most innings, the Wildcats left the bases loaded. The Gamecocks where saying "Game-cocks, Game-cocks". The Wildcats scored 2 runs in the 7th and 8th innings, and it was now the top of the 9th and the score was 3-2. The Gamecocks scored no runs in the 9th, and the Wildcats were at the top of their line up. Austin Custino got hit by a pitch. Man on first. Zac Zellers strikes out. I was so surprised that he did not get a hit. Luke Maile was up to bat with a mon-on. 2-2 was the count. He swings. It's going. It's going. It is GONE! A 2-shot home run for Luke Maile! Helmets fly everywhere. The center fielder stretched across the fence trying to catch the ball. At first, I thought he did, but he dropped it. The Kentucky Wildcats are 19-0!

GEMS will shine!
GEMS is a running program at our school., it stands for Girls Empowered Motivated to Succeed. GEMS is only for girls. In the beginning, middle, and end of the program we have 3K or 5K races. I like GEMS a lot because it helped me improve on pacing myself in soccer, and believing in myself. Now that I've done GEMS I can keep up with my best friend and run a 5K without stopping.
