The Kingdom of Fantasy Rocks!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a land full of ogres, fairies, and talking animals? Well, in The Kingdom of Fantasy, Geronimo Stilton knows all too well.

He goes on an adventure to find the heart of happiness, but finds that he has to go through the land of ogres to find the map of paradise. He looks on the map and finds that he must travel to the land of sweets, the land of toys, the land of comfort, the land of gold, and the land of fairy tales.  None of the lands had the heart of happiness. Will he ever find what he’s looking for, or will he die trying?

In my opinion I think the book Kingdom of Fantasy is a great read because it has characters like the dragon of the rainbow, the chameleon named boils, and a giant, Queen Blossom. Another reason I like this book is because the dragon of the rainbow. He goes on the adventures with Geronimo and helps him travel place to place without walking, and I think that is a big help to Geronimo. I also liked all the lands in the book. My most favorite was the land of gold because it’s a kid’s dream to hold gold. I think the book kingdom of fantasy is the best book in the world.

If you read it, I hope you liked it as much as I did.  I highly recommend this book and I give it  5 paws.

Super Undies!

My favorite book is Captain Underpants. It’s about two kids that love making comics about a crime fighting super hero. Every teacher in the school hates them. But they don’t care. One day they bought a hypnosis ring. They thought it would be funny to try it on their principle but something went wrong, now every time he hears a snap he turns into Captain Underpants. The only way to get him back to normal is to pour a bucket of water on his head.

I like this book because it’s very funny. An example is when they change the lunch menu to something gross and wacky. Every time they change it the principle yells at them and gives them detention. I laughed out loud when I read the first page.

I recommend this book to whoever is looking for a funny book. I give this book five paws.

Hungry for some Games!

The Hunger Games are not your ordinary games! This book is about a girl named Catniss Everdeen and a boy named Peeta Mellark. The Hunger Games are when a boy and girl from each district go to an arena and they fight for their lives. Only one boy or girl can win.  Which one will survive?

I love this book because it is action packed. Catniss and Peeta are suffering, running, or killing the whole time. Suzanne Collins does a great job of creating characters. I felt like I was in the book and these characters were my friends, and I felt like I was with them the entire book.  This was a great read!

I would recommend this book to anyone who can read. This book was the best book that I have ever read, and I’ve read a lot of books I would give this book 5 paws!

Swimming in a Sea of Monsters!

A while ago I started reading the 2nd Percy Jackson Book, Sea of Monsters. It’s about Percy Jackson, a boy who is half human and half god, and other demigods going on a quest to save his best friend, Grover, in the Cyclops’s island.

When I finished it I wanted to read it again. I loved it because all of the adventure in the book. Like when they ran across the breaking bridge with a Cyclops chasing after them. It taught me about all of the Greek gods and goddesses like Zeus, Poseidon, Pan, and many more. It also makes me feel like I am in the story with them.

In my opinion, the author Rick Riordan is the best author ever. He has written many great books like The Lost Hero and The Last Olympian. If you love fantasy, then this is the book for you. I give this book 5 paws.

Petroglyphs with Pizzazz!

This is a petroglyph, which was Ancient art that Native Americans made in Kentucky during the paleolithic period. Most petroglyphs were made by picking, scraping, or carving part of a rock's surface, but we used plaster disks and paint and then we carved symbols into it before the plaster dried completely.

Thanks Mrs. Smith for teaching us about Native American Art!
